- Bicuspid: Another name for a premolar, the teeth between the canines and molars.
- Biopsy: Removing a small piece of tissue so it can be examined under a microscope.
- Bitewing X-Ray: An X-ray showing the upper and lower back teeth together, used to find cavities between teeth.
- Bleaching: Lightening teeth with peroxide-based gels. See teeth whitening.
- Bonding: Applying tooth-colored resin to repair chips, gaps or discoloration, then hardening it with a special light.
- Bone Graft: Bone or bone-substitute material placed to rebuild the jaw, often before or with a dental implant.
